Description

Plate-loaded strongman-style overhead press with log handles.

The Viking Press is an overhead press on a lever arm, the way strongman competitors train the event. The lifter stands and drives the handles up and forward from shoulder height, with no bar balanced overhead.

Handles are log-style neutral grips in two diametres, 10 inch and 12 inch. The 12 inch handles rotate, so the grip can turn through the press the way it does on a real log. The arms can be locked together for a two-arm press or released for iso-lateral work, one arm at a time or alternating. An adjustable safety stop sets the bottom of the range.

Empty starting load is 10kg. Movement arm and storage weight pins are stainless steel. The 75mm x 75mm steel tube frame is built by Bench in Thailand. Machine weight is 175kg.
